Ground Grappling Skills

1.5 hour Class

Warmup (20 minutes)

  • Jog, high steps, heel raises, side shuffles, cariocas 
  • Front rolls with hip thrust
  • Rear Rolls
  • Side break falls
  • Front break falls
  • Rear break falls

Strength & Conditioning (10 minutes)

  • x6 1 minute rounds with 30 seconds off between
    • Burpees
    • Sandbag Cleans
    • Dive Bomber Pushups
  • Sandbag carry walk

Drills & Applications (30 minutes)

  • Swimming from the clinch
    • Swimming to the middle
    • Kazushi (off balancing) from the clinch
    • Shrugging the arm from the neck
    • Under the arm Pass to choke
  • From the Middle
    • Sitting Throw to the Rear
    • Sitting Throw to the Front 

Randori (30 minutes)

  • Positional wrestling: Sitting Throw to the front into Mount
